“Three Letter Acronym is the inaugural collection of hand made apparel and accessories produced locally by fine artist, Ash Marlene Hane. Influenced by and created for those who make up the Twin Cities vibrant arts scene; it is no surprise that her look book is a collaboration with Polaroid prima, SereneSupreme, shot on fancy flesh about town. Fusing fine art and street culture, the collection includes intricate images from her PUSHED series as well as phrases like DON’T FORGET TO GO HOME. A phrase likely to come to play post launch party on Friday, Nov. 29th at Eat Streets private lofty gallery space, QX Collective, where DJ Wzz wnshp will be spinning beats as guests are invited to show off their new Three Letter Acronym apparel in the photo booth.

Actively engaged in the Minneapolis art, music and after hours scene, Hane also draws inspiration from her travels to Berlin and Bangkok. She parallels the cities by their ‘hustle and grit’ mentality, saying, “There is a certain kind of hedonism, a choice to be bad while still maintaining a healthy hardworking lifestyle” and her clothes are made with that in mind. The fabrics are hand selected for wearability, color, and endurance. “They are simple and structured with subtle details in stitching and fit; shirts that aren’t too tight in the armpit, so you can stay comfortable while dancing into the morning.” With bold graphics and artful prints her pieces can be worn day to night. Sourced, sewn and screen printed locally, Three Letter Acronym aims to put Minneapolis streetwear on the maps.”
